TRADE EVALUATOR

See the logic behind a trade—not just the sticker values.

Use this section to teach collectors how to think about fairness, liquidity, risk, and long-term desirability before trading cards or sealed product.

Scout's trade checklist

Raw vs graded

Keep condition apples-to-apples. A PSA 10 cannot be compared to a raw copy like they are the same thing.

Set strength

Higher-tier sets usually support stronger demand and better liquidity.

Character strength

Charizard, Pikachu, Umbreon, Gengar, Eeveelutions, and iconic chase characters often carry more collector pull.

Liquidity

Cards that sell often and have broad search demand are easier to trade fairly.

Risk

Ask whether one side depends more on hype or speculative future value.

Planned v2 ideas

  • Paste two card names and compare their set strength, liquidity, and market references side by side.
  • Teach the difference between price, desirability, and ease of resale.
  • Flag when a trade looks balanced in dollars but lopsided in collector demand.

Why it matters

Collectors often lose trades by chasing a high list price instead of a strong collector asset. Diamond Finder can win trust by teaching that difference clearly.
